Light a lamp

So many graves,dissolve, light a lamp,

The hunger wanders on the road, light a lamp.

All the relations are locked behind the doors,

Now no one meets the other, light a lamp.

I passed the night , drinking water,

Now the day looms large, light the lamp.

So many are taking shelter of religion,

The disease also is obstructed by the religion.

I don't like living behind a mask

Though it is cheaper than death,light a lamp.

The sparrows, he and she, ask for grains,

The dog of the king barks, light a lamp.

The light is low than what I wish,

Kaviraj the dead are less being burnt , light a lamp.

દીવો કરો

કબરો કૈક ઓગળે છે,દીવો ધરો.

રસ્તે ભૂખ રઝળે છે,દીવો ધરો.

સંબંધો સઘળા પુરાયા છે બંધ બારણે,

કોઈ હવે ક્યાં મળે છે?,દીવો ધરો.

રાત કાઢી પાણી પીને હાશ..પણ,

દિવસ માથે ઝળુંબે છે,દીવો ધરો.

લઈને બેઠા છે ઘણાયે એનો આશરો,

રોગનેય ધરમ નડે છે,દીવો ધરો.

રહેવું નથી ફાવતું માટે નકાબ માં,

મોતથી એ સસ્તું પડે છે,દીવો ધરો.

ચકી-ચકો માંગે છે અનાજના દાણા,

રાજા નો કૂતરો કહે છે,દીવો કરો.

જોઈએ એવી નથી પડતી રોશની,"કવિરાજ",

ચિતાઓ ઓછી બળે છે દીવો ધરો..!

On a planet Named sun, My lover has sown bajari, She single handedly ploughed the land, sown the seeds, watered it and weeded it. Should I go to reap the crop? પરગ્રહી પ્રેમિકાનું નિમંત્રણ જયેશ જીવીબહેન સોલંકી સુર્ય નામના ગ્રહ પર વાવી છે બાજરી મારી પ્રેમિકાએ ખેડ્યું, વાવ્યું, પાણી પાયું,નીદ્યુ એણે એકલ હાથ પૂળા લણવા મને મોકલ્યું છે નોતરું છેક સાતમા આસમાનેથી! ને મુકી છે શરત જેટલા પૂળા લણે તું એટલાં બાજરીયાં તારા બાપનાં. ને હું ભુખ્યો છું આ કોરોના કાળમાં કેટલાય દિવસોથી . શું હું જતો રહું? પૂળા લણવા?!!!

The mind is awake, where the eyes would go? Breaking the wall that protects,where would they run? Stuck to the nail of a question mark ,it struggles, The body, where would it go, leaving the body? Every city,village, the directions are closed, Where would the moment, the time go knocking the dreams,the thoughts? The mass, that suffers discrimination and indifference,faces the void, staring at the void, where would they go? This discouraged caravan of hunger,thirst and fatigue, The small feet walking on the long road,where would they go? At every step, eyes of compassion and love overflow, Will get this life, begging, where would they go? કયાં? કિસન સોસા જાગી રહ્યું છે મન, નયન જાગીને જાય ક્યાં? રક્ષિત ભીંત ભાંગીને , ભાગીને જાય કયાં? પ્રશ્નાર્થના જ આંકડે એ છટપટી રહ્યું કે ખોળિયું ય ખોળિયું ત્યાગીને જાય ક્યાં? હરેક શહેર ગામ દિશા બંધ ક્ષણ સમય ખ્વાબે ખયાલે દસ્તકો દાગીને જાય કયાં? વેઠી રહ્યાં સમૂહે વિષમતા વિડંબના સામે છે શૂન્ય, શૂ...

Doggy Nature

Starved for so many days The belly stuck so that It is as if the belly and back Touch each other. The breathing is laboured Speech made him breathless. He walked with trembling feet And the eyes see blurred. He wanders for a crumb of a bread, Begs, leaving aside self pride. Weeping with tears of blood He welcomes death itself. He saw a puddle of milk spilt, Dogs licking. At the height of hunger He came on all his fours, Licked the milk and quenched his hunger. The dog community observed solidarity with him, No barking and no biting Proved their honor as community of dogs. Thanking then he walked on the way to home. He saw a big queue. They were distributing the relief kits near he went and asked, 'May I too, get some?' 'No, not if your name is not in the list. Go away , quick, go away.' He laughed loudly and left Saluting them, Their being doggy ...
