Light a lamp

So many graves,dissolve, light a lamp,

The hunger wanders on the road, light a lamp.

All the relations are locked behind the doors,

Now no one meets the other, light a lamp.

I passed the night , drinking water,

Now the day looms large, light the lamp.

So many are taking shelter of religion,

The disease also is obstructed by the religion.

I don't like living behind a mask

Though it is cheaper than death,light a lamp.

The sparrows, he and she, ask for grains,

The dog of the king barks, light a lamp.

The light is low than what I wish,

Kaviraj the dead are less being burnt , light a lamp.

દીવો કરો

કબરો કૈક ઓગળે છે,દીવો ધરો.

રસ્તે ભૂખ રઝળે છે,દીવો ધરો.

સંબંધો સઘળા પુરાયા છે બંધ બારણે,

કોઈ હવે ક્યાં મળે છે?,દીવો ધરો.

રાત કાઢી પાણી પીને હાશ..પણ,

દિવસ માથે ઝળુંબે છે,દીવો ધરો.

લઈને બેઠા છે ઘણાયે એનો આશરો,

રોગનેય ધરમ નડે છે,દીવો ધરો.

રહેવું નથી ફાવતું માટે નકાબ માં,

મોતથી એ સસ્તું પડે છે,દીવો ધરો.

ચકી-ચકો માંગે છે અનાજના દાણા,

રાજા નો કૂતરો કહે છે,દીવો કરો.

જોઈએ એવી નથી પડતી રોશની,"કવિરાજ",

ચિતાઓ ઓછી બળે છે દીવો ધરો..!

Two Poems: Vajesinh Pargi

1. There was No fistful grains. On hearth Mother had Pebbles in the pot Boiling in the pot. The children grasped this And slept Forgetting hunger. 2. Bundle on the head, Child on arm, Hunger in belly, Parched throat, Tears in eyes And helpless hands. With this much load We We were rushing towards our native house. The end of earth Is very far And the feet are bleeding. We had come to earn our bread But we got The pain Of entire world. વજેસિંહ પારગી બે કવિતા 1. ઘરમાં નહોતું મૂઠી ધાન તો મા ઉકાળતી રહી હાંડલીમાં પથરા કલાકોના કલાકો. ચૂલા પર હાંડલી જોઈને સમજી ગયાં છોકરાં ને સૂઈ ગયાં ભૂલીને ભૂખ. 2. માથે પોટલાં ને કાખમાં છોકરાં પેટમાં ભૂખ ને ગળામાં શોષ આંખમાં આંસુ ને લાચાર હાથ. આતાટલો બોજ ઊંચકીને ભાગ્યાં છીએ અમે ઘર ભણી. બહુ દૂર છે ધરતીનો છેડો ને પગમાંથી વહે છે લોહીની ધાર. અમે તો આવ્યાં હતાં રળવા રોટલો પણ દઈ દીધી અમને દુનિયા આખીની પીડા.

Those days will return, have patience, The roads will be crowded, have patience. The mountains of pain hang on our heads, Tomorrow for sure, will melt , have patience Why do you worry that you are locked in house? In the house, you'll find heaven, have patience. Tomorrow again morning of happiness will dawn, The sun of sorrows will set, have patience. The faces that you love will arrive to see you, have patience. ગિરીશ પરમાર ધીરજ ધરજો એ દિવસો પણ પાછા વળશે, ધીરજ ધરજો. પાછા રસ્તાઓ ખળભળશે, ધીરજ ધરજો. પીડાઓના પ્હાડો છો ને માથે આજે, કાલે નક્કી એ ઓગળશે, ધીરજ ધરજો. આજે ઘરમાં પૂરાયાની ચિંતા કેવી? ઘરમાં પણ સ્વર્ગ નીકળશે, ધીરજ ધરજો. કાલે પાછી ઉગવાની સુખની ઉષા હોં, દુઃખનો સૂરજ સાચ્ચે ઢળશે, ધીરજ ધરજો. મનગમતા ચ્હેરાઓ તમને પ્હેલા માફક, પ્હેલા માફક આવી મળશે, ધીરજ ધરજો. @ ગિરીશ રઢુકીયા

Corona: Ishwar Chauhan

Corona He rang the bell, The other blew the conch shell. His tambourine rang, The other's bell tinkled. Here a drum beat, There sound of tin pot and a bucket. D for drum somewhere and S for sweat somewhere. Earthen lamp in the niche and Laxmi crackers somewhere. Candle made of wax, Incense sticks. Some had much vigour, Others' shouts were loud. Without understanding some danced, Mistakenly some sang. Many spoons and plates, All snaps of fingers and clapping hands. One got honoured, The other asked for honour. Some won, some lost, that's history, And that is the end of the story. ઈશ્વર ચૌહાણ કોરોના એણે વગાડ્યો'તો ઘંટ. તેણે ફૂંક્યો'તો શંખ. એની ખંજરી ખનનન. તેની ઘંટડી ટનનન. અહીં વાગ્યા'તા ઢોલ. તહીં ડબલાં ને ડોલ. ક્યાંક નગારાનો ન. ક્યાંક તગારાનો ત. ગોખે દીવા. લક્ષ્મી ટેટા. બત્તીઓ મીણની. બત્તીઓ અગરની. અમુકનો કાફી હતો જોશ. તમુકનો ભારે જયઘોષ. નાસમજમાં નાચ. ગફલતમાં ગાન. ઘણાં ચમચી-થાળી. બધાં ચપટી-તાળી. દીધાં એકે સન્માન. લીધાં બીજે બહુમાન. ઊગી આકડે ઊરી. ને થઈ વાતેય પૂર...
